That Mother Nature gives Nha Trang pristine beaches, islands and spectacular landscapes makes it an attraction for both Vietnamese and foreigners annually. There are several ways to visit Nha Trang. You can do a motorbike trip to some coastal cities of Vietnam. Or you can take buses and trains from everywhere in the country. Otherwise, you can take a flight.
However, it should be noted that the airport (Cam Ranh Airport) is far away from the city center that you have to take a taxi, local bus No. 18, airport bus Cam Ranh, Futa Bus Lines or you should contact the hotels to ask for the pick-up service.
The weather in Nha Trang is divided into 2 main seasons: dry season lasts from January to August and rainy season lasts from September to December. The best time to visit Nha Trang is the dry season where you can enjoy sunbathing everyday, meanwhile, like other coastal cities in the country, the rainy season can affect your trips due to storms, floods or tropical low press.
Visit Nha Trang: Bình Hưng Island, Bình Lập Island and Bình Tiên Island
Has been discovered recently, 4 islands including Bình Ba, Bình Hưng, Bình Lập and Bình Tiên are considered as the top 4 wildest islands in Vietnam. However, foreigners are not allowed to travel to Bình Ba Island due to military reasons; hence, Bình Ba, the most beautiful island is not included in the list.
However, no worries as the left 3 islands have their own beauty and imposing landscapes. The population in these 3 islands are sparse that is the plus point to keep the wild beauty for travellers to explore.
In Bình Hưng Island, you should visit Nước Ngọt Beach to swim in the crystal water and sunbathe under the clear sky. It should be noted that you should not miss the very early morning in Bình Hưng Island to view the imposing natural wonders.
Funnily, Bình Lập is described as Maldives in Vietnam to express how beautiful it is. There are some typical activities in this small island such as kayaking, and cycling.
The last one of the list, Bình Tiên Island which is the wildest one compared to the other 3 islands. You should rent a motorbike or bike to travel around the island to explore the beaches from the high point, or go deeply in the forest to discover the running spring from Núi Chúa, the main water source of the residents.

Ninh Vân Bay
As considered as one of the most peaceful beaches ever in the world, Ninh Vân Bay makes you feel relaxed and calm to reduce your tiring and busy life. The best time to visit Ninh Vân Bay is between June and September when the weather is clear and jolly, humid enough. There are four ways to get the bay from Nha Trang, by speed ferry, cars and motorbikes, or tours. Also, you can stay at some classical resorts or homestays with the sea view from your room, then, wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise. Ninh Vân Bay is also an ideal beach to go on picnics with your friends and do some beach activities.
A world-class amusement park located on an island, Hòn Tre Island. From the city center, you can rent a motorbike or take a taxi to get Vinpearl Land to buy tickets. Also, you can buy tickets directly at the ticket booths at Vinpearl Land or book online with several deals. The average price is around 880.000 VND with 2 ways by cable cars, of course from the mainland to the island, you will go by cable car which you can see how clear and beautiful Nha Trang Beach is from the high point. The amusement opens from 8:30 to 21:00 so that you can spend the whole day there. From water sports to adrenaline-rush activities, from the beach to the swimming pools for children or adults, everything is worth the money you pay. It should be noted that you cannot bring outside food to the island, but water is allowed.
Hòn Chồng Promontory
There is some folklore about this promontory according to local people. For example, such a long time ago, there was a giant fishing at this beautiful beach; immediately, he caught a giant fish that he had to cling in the rock printing his 5 fingers on it. And there are also other stories from local people that you can learn more. Several rocks overlap one another making the view of the promontory.
Ba Hồ Waterfall
Ba Hồ Waterfall starts from the top of Hòn Sơn Mountain. This place is waiting for adventurers to explore the imposing landscapes as some high mountains are not easily reachable. There, you can feel the fresh and clear water, soak in the cool water or climb over the rocks.
Tháp Bà Hot Springs
There are plenty of services for you to relax and comfort after many days travelling around. The most special service is soaking in the thermal mineral springs and mud baths. It opens everyday from 07:00 - 19:00.
Hòn Khói Salt Fields
This village is a quiet and remote area where you can get away from the busy city outside. You can choose to stay at some resorts or classical hotels accordingly. Salt is usually harvested in the early morning or some sunny days. There, you might be surprised by the immense salt fields in the picturesque view. You can also meet the rural and friendly local people who will help you as much as they can even though they cannot speak English.
Po Nagar Cham Towers
The tower was built by Cham people in Champa Kingdom, around 8th and 11th centuries. Po Nagar Cham Tower is where Cham people nowaday, although just a small group, worship their gods during the annual religious festival of Thap Ba, which falls around the end of April and the beginning of May. The name Po Nagar Tower, the main tower, is used as the official name of the towers built in the area. The towers of Po Nagar Cham are square red brick structures with protruding support frames and tapering roofs. It opens for tourists everyday from 07:00 - 17:00.
Long Sơn Pagoda
As the ancient beauty despite the changing time, Long Sơn Pagoda is not only the spiritual religious place, but it is also an attraction for tourists in Nha Trang. It is located at the top of Trại Thủy Hill which you have to walk 193 steps to get to the pagoda. On the way to get there, there is a granite lying Buddha Statue surrounded by 49 Buddhist monks. And a big bell at the second stop which makes you feel purified when listening to the sound.
The most attractive feature of the pagoda is the White Buddha Statue seated on a lotus, located at the middle of the pagoda after finishing 193 steps. The Statue is more imposing thanks to the blue sky and boundless atmosphere.
The Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam is where you can find it interesting to explore the marine environment of Nha Trang. This museum exhibits the collection of living beings from the Eastern Sea. It has been expanded into 2 floors. 1st floor is exhibited fish tanks of varying sizes that house all manner of marine life, and the 2nd floor is used to display thousands of preserved specimens, animal skeletons, local boats, and fishing artefacts. It opens everyday from 06:00 - 18:00 with the entrance of 30.000 VND.
