Cúc Phương National Park

Established in 1962, Cúc Phương is the oldest national park in Vietnam which takes you 2 hours driving from Hà Nội. This is home to a dense forest of millennia-old trees, prehistoric caves, botanical gardens, and two animal sanctuaries that are worth exploring.


If you want to stay close to nature, don’t forget to experience the park on foot or by bicycle. Visitors in April and May should be blessed with the chance to see literally thousands of vibrant butterflies.


If you don’t care much about the cold weather, Cúc Phương National Park is the best option to visit all year round. Just remember to protect yourself and bring enough necessary clothes for the winters.


Phong Nha - Kẻ Bàng National Park

Not stop for that, Phong Nha - Kẻ Bàng National Park is one of the most spectacular wilderness sites in South East Asia and one of the 2 largest limestone regions in the world. Hundreds of miles of underground labyrinths run beneath limestone giants that tower toward the sky.

You will also have a chance to visit Hang Khe Ry, the world’s largest river cave. It lasts for 20km between 2 large limestone cliffs. If you are a real adventure lover, think no more to make a real trip to discover Phong Nha - Kẻ Bàng National Park, Hang Khe Ry and especially, Son Doong Cave, discovered in 2009, explored in 2011 by a British caving team and now opens to a limited number of tourists from 2014.


Bạch Mã National Park

Bạch Mã National Park is located near Huế, about 40km to the South of Huế and 65km to the North of Đà Nẵng. What you can do here is to have a panoramic view of the mountains, rivers, lagoons, and villages, hear the birds sing, be immersed in the cool streams and see many kinds of animals and plants.


The park is home to some of the densest and pristine ribbons of the jungle in central Vietnam. Not only that, but you will also experience some old French colonial villas which are now converted into charming guesthouses.


There are enough hiking trails to keep you busy for a few days. Some lead through rock pools and waterfalls. On a clear morning, you can walk to the peak of the mountain for a spectacular coastal sunrise. The best time to visit Bạch Mã National Park is from March to September.
